It is the time of year when the next generation of Anteater Oarsman test their will and determination to see if they have what it takes to make the UCI Rowing Team.

This past Saturday we had 12 alumni from all different eras come out to support the new recruits, share their stories of being on the crew, and help to inspire excitement for rowing to these young men.

All told, it was an amazing turnout. There were over 100 oarsmen on Shellmaker Island who all got to get on the water and take their first strokes. This morning was the first day of scheduled practice and Coach Brooks had five eights, two fours, and two pairs take the water.

Keep your eyes peeled for more updates on the fall season and stay tuned for more opportunities to get involved and come out and watch the team.
