It’s near the end of the racing season for the UCI crew. The varsity eight is having a great year and coach AJ Books feels they have a real shot a winning a national title at the ACRA championships, May 27th and 28th in Gainesville, GA. Friends of UCI Rowing is trying to generate $10,000 in donations to send the squad to this event. We have already been gifted just over half of the funds needed and we are now asking alumni to help us with the final sprint to the finish line. As former oarsmen, we can appreciate what a great experience it can be for current student-athletes to compete at the national level. The board of directors of FRIENDS of UCI ROWING would appreciate any donation, large or small, that you could make to achieve our goal and help these young men achieve a goal of their own.
