Please join us at a gathering to share some of our favorite memories and stories; to laugh, to cry, and honor Duvall Hecht.

Refreshments will be served after the ceremony.

Please let us know if you are able to attend by April 16th.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations can be made in Duvall’s honor to the Friends of UC Irvine Rowing.

IMPORTANT PARKING INSTRUCTIONS

Due to the incredible expected turnout, we cannot offer open parking at the UCI Boathouse (limited parking will be reserved for guests with disabilities, family, and pre-arranged guests).

Ride sharing is recommended! There is limited free parking along Back Bay Drive.

For convenient & guaranteed parking, we have arranged discounted rates at The Newport Dunes ($10 from 10:30am – 4pm). A courtesy shuttle to/from the Dunes parking area to the UCI Boathouse will be provided.

Please print and bring this flyer with you and present to the attendant at The Dunes before you park. Meet the shuttle at the Dunes parking lot entrance (it will be running back and forth every few minutes) to be taken to the boathouse. Please give yourself a little extra time to ensure you are seated at the boathouse by 11:20 am to avoid interruptions during the memorial. The Shuttle will also return guests to the Dunes after the event (meet at the Boathouse).

LIVE STREAM

We have arranged for live video coverage of the memorial service for anyone who cannot attend. This video will also serve as an on demand viewing option after the event for anyone who wants to reflect on Duvall’s life afterwards.
